The AFC beat the NFC 38-33 in the 2020 Pro Bowl, a game overshadowed by the death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant, which was first reported about a half hour before kickoff.
ESPN cut away from its broadcast briefly in the first quarter for an ABC News report about the helicopter crash that killed Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others. Sideline reporters conducted in-game interviews with players about their relationship with Bryant.

How did Pro Bowl players react to Kobe Bryant’s death?
There were several interviews with players during the game about Bryant’s death, as well as a celebration honoring him. Additionally, there was a moment of silence held in the stadium.
Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell said news of Bryant’s death “sucked [the energy] out of the room” before the game, per NFL Network .
Campbell also said a prayer on the field as an image of Bryant was displayed on the big screen, The Florida Times-Union reported.
Who won MVP of the Pro Bowl?
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was the offensive MVP, and Jaguars defensive end Calais Campbell earned defensive MVP honors.
Jackson was 16-for-23 passing for 185 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception. Campbell forced a sack-fumble that was returned for an 82-yard touchdown.
